Food 2 Fight Hunger
Benefiting our food pantry to feed hungry families
Our annual Food 2 Fight Hunger event occurs during a time of great need when our food pantry usually nears empty. The summer months historically show a drop in donations and an increase in need. You can help out by hosting a canned food drive at your workplace, church or club.

Christmas In July
More than 3,000 children receive services from The Salvation Army of Augusta each year. Many of these children receive assistance through our Christmas Programs such as the Angel Tree and Stocking Programs. Help us to fill stockings early this year and bring joy to a local child’s life this Christmas. Bundles of 20 stockings are available for adoption during the Christmas in July program.

Bell Rining at the Red Kettle
Learn More

The Salvation Army is widely known for its outreach during the Christmas season. Since 1891, Red Kettles have been a familiar Salvation Army tradition. Money raised through these kettles provides much needed funding for their free programs throughout the year. The Salvation Army depends on local volunteers to ring bells at various kettle locations to encourage donations.

Salvation Army Angel Tree
Learn More
Angel Tree was created by The Salvation Army in 1979, when local children wrote what gifts they wanted on Hallmark greeting cards that featured pictures of angels. The cards were placed on a Christmas tree at the mall to allow shoppers to select children to help. The Salvation Army has continued the tradition and angels are made available each year for Augusta locals to adopt an angel and make a child’s Christmas. Interested in volunteering or have questions about Angel Tree be sure to email

Red Kettle Campaign MATCH Sponsor
Learn More

Sponsor a Kettle this Christmas with a matching gift challenge dollar-for-dollar. Challenge kettle donors with the opportunity to double their gift by sponsoring a kettle with a match up to a dollar level that you choose. The Salvation Army’s Red Kettles are one of the most highly recognized symbols of benevolence during the Christmas season. A great opportunity for your business to benefit from that visibility and support our community at the same time. We will display your business, organization or family name on the kettle stand letting everyone know you’ve sponsored that kettle and matching the gifts. Choose to ring the bell at your MATCH kettle, with your employees wearing company shirts or name tags.
